sing information provided by agricultural extension service providers, Esther Philip a farmer from Machakos County has grown her small chicken project that started with only 20 birds to an income generating enterprise, selling chicks to her community and earning an income that has enabled her improve her livelihood.

alome and her group members proudly earn income from their organic farms, through selling of potatoes, garden peas and assorted vegetables. They sell locally and also to outside markets especially Nakuru and Nairobi Counties. Through their hard work they have improved their household’s living standards and empowered themselves financially, socially and economically.
